My research focuses on improving health outcomes for rare disease patients through patient-centered outcomes research, which recognizes that patients have unique knowledge and experience regarding their medical conditions and incorporates their perspective into each stage of the research project. Currently I’m working on projects to identify predictors of delays in diagnosis of rare diseases and to build research capacity for a rare disease patient community.
