What is a Science and Technology Note?
Non-partisan, peer-reviewed S&T notes gather together the research on policy topics in an easy-to-read, single-page format. They are free upon legislative request. See a sample of an S&T Note here or view all our S&T Notes here.
Each S&T note describes West Virginia's current policy on a policy topic and identifies that tradeoffs of different policy options. The analysis is based on existing scientific and technical evaluations of the implementation of those policies in other states, with an emphasis on other Appalachian states.
The notes do not make recommendations, nor do they address policies related to West Virginia University.
These nonpartisan notes are intended only for informational purposes and do not indicate
support or opposition to a particular bill or policy approach.
All S&T notes are free and will be publicly available on the Bridge Initiative website.
